God said, it was time.

greetings all. I couldn’t sleep so, I’m writing a letter to a friend, who has recently transitioned.

 My Dearest Jeremiah,

First off, I’d like to say that, as you know God works and moves in the most amazing ways. Speaking with you last night was an absolute pleasure, as usual! Life picks up and takes us up in a wirl and we are off!! To do this and that!! To continue moving and changing people’s lives with ease.  But, within those times, we’ve always found each other on minds and hearts!! Always looking forward to the next time we speak, to the next time we engage in a simple conversation and even possibly, the honor of sweating and creating with each other. Remembering the last time we danced together and brought the house down!! Remembering when I saw your arms stretched out wide, smiling widely, waiting for me to run into them and exhale with a calmness and security that is unmeasurable, Remembering the last time we laughed until there were tears and silent convulsions of hilarious bliss. No matter where I’d end up, the moment we met when we were younger and the recent moments of standing side by side, face to face in a much needed embrace, stay with us, always.

There was no way possible, that I’d know, when I felt to reach out to you and check in, would be the final time I got to speak with you and share our thoughts, experiences and everlasting love and support for each other. For this, I know even more that God moves in amazing ways. That I had the privlage to tell you how much I missed  you. I’m proud of you and that I love you. And that I’d be privileged enough, to hear you say the exact same thing to me. For these simple ways of life, was your way of life!

I’m honored to have been apart of your amazing life tapestry! The amount of inspiration, hope, joy, everlasting love, zest for life, focus and determination is unmeasured!! Not even to mention your ability to enjoy making and being apart of the endless smiles and gut busting laughter. Like a conductor of an elite orchestra!! Amazing and so beautiful you are!!

Now, you are done here on this Earth yet, live on within all whom you’ve touched and everything you’ve accomplished. I thank you for all of your: EVERYTHING!! Loving you forever! And dance on and hit that leg up on the 1!!! I hear your Custom made songs in my head, I see and feel your movement. And passion all around us!! As usual! Here’s to you and all of your awesomeness!!  You are along with a few others I’ve had the honor of knowing, the epitome of living life to the fullest (full out, as we Artists/Dancers say) joining in an amazing  display and arrangement of creativity, with those whom have transitioned. We are in no way, ready or worthy to see and experience such a thing, just yet!  Love always and simply, Paunika

Rainy, chilly day in the city

Hi all. Rain, what a cleansing, peaceful, grounding thing of happenings. I love it when it rains in the city. It tends to slow things and people down a bit. The hustle and grind seem to drop in their paces, and foot steps are more carefully placed. Mindfulness, all wrapped up in sweaters, rain boots and coats. The transition between summer into fall, has happened and it doesn’t feel as if much of an ascend occurred. Or is it just me. Anyhow, I find myself in a mood of tranquility, almost melancholy like. And I’m fine with it. A day of writing, reading, stretching, meditating and more Good Will preparation. Continuing on with the elimination of things causing clutter and discomfort. Well, that is all for now. Thank you for reading and please stay in tune. Have a great day y’all!

When To Hug Someone: Life’s Greatest Mystery

excellent read!! Thanks for sharing. I feel I should be hugging (give and receive) more often. Thanks for the enforcement! I’ll get right to it.

You Monsters Are People.

Knowing when to hug someone is a question that has plagued humanity since its very inception. Confounded cave-people deduced how to trap and eat their monkey brethren right away but would have to wait thousands of years before even the most basic hugging etiquette could be established. Misplaced hugs have torn apart families, ruined lives and even caused wars (probably World War I). Despite thousands of years of struggling with hug protocol, scientists have yet to unlock its deepest most powerful mysteries.

There was a period in my life where I had friends and then hugged them until we were all so tired from embracing that we had to take lengthy naps. They were like platonic orgies. It was a perfect world where everything made sense and nobody felt bad about themselves or each other. We drank, talked and warmly embraced each other deep into the morning hours. Through perseverance and…

Past, Present and Future.

Greetings! I have been taking a brief break from Dancing over the past few weeks. Business matters needing their due time and attention , healing/dealing with a minor injury, and such. While  on my travels this time around, I was  blessed with an opportunity to teach ballet classes at a School of the Arts recently. It is always nice, to be able to travel and make a little money while out. In addition, it is also great to be able to give back in some way, towards the youth and community!  Throughout my career, there has always been somehow or someway, to give back and take care of the Community through the arts. And how the struggle, to this day continues to keep the Arts alive and well, in and or involved with the educational system.  Throughout my career as a dancer, there where always ways and activities that I found myself involved in that where focusing on such things as inspiration, Growth, Community, Positive change. So, as I shift into more of being my own boss and being other’s boss, I remember and give thanks! To eliminate the arts: Dance, Music, Visual Art, Theatre available to all walks of the community,  would be like, Elimination of Life, itself. , I know and believe that Art is Life and Life  is Art. There would not be one, with out the other. It is everywhere and in everything that we do, as Human beings.

Coast to Coast

Greetings all! Once again, I am  coast to coast. One of my favorite travels. The time change plus, the seasonal changes this time around, are an interesting and emotional one. I am still, very much aware of the shifting, shedding , changing, regrouping, contemplating feelings involved in this part of the year. Except, I am happily embracing the higher amount of sunlight I can have where I am, right now. versus, the Big City, where there are larger buildings to block out the light. Anyhow, I am enjoying this opportunity to venture out, once again. Have a great day fine folks!   enjoy yourself!
